Soldiers Receive Calling Cards in “Thank-you Kits” from Young Bible Students in Georgia
According to a recent story published in the online version of the Gainesville Times titled, “Kids raise funds to buy phone cards for soldiers,” a group of very young students in the Chestnut Mountain Church’s vacation Bible school spent a great deal of love and care creating 300 Thank-you Kits for the troops.
Wow! Seeing kids ranging in ages from pre-K to 5th grade raising money and creating care packages for the troops is just plain awesome. They aren’t the first to raise money (and morale) for the troops (i.e. Cell Phones For Soldiers has been around for years), but it’s great to see this phenomenon spreading rampantly amongst the youth of today.
Reading stories like this definitely makes one ask himself/herself, “What have I done lately to support the troops?” Well… what have you done lately?
