The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) has again issued a country-wide rate increase for all calls that terminate in Pakistan. The increase took effect on February 1, 2009.

Prepaid Calling Card retailers like SpeedyPin.com, CallingCards.com and others have begun updating their respective Pakistan rates on their website and apologizing to their customers calling to Pakistan. Unfortunately, there is nothing these retailers can do at this point, but increase their own rates to compensate for their cost increase. However, as the proverbial dust begins to settle, rates may begin to come down.
