Florida’s Attorney General Settles with Calling Card Company
Florida’s Attorney General, Bill McCollum, has stated that his office has settled with Telecommunications Services, Inc. (ADMA Telecom, Inc).
The settlement comes after the filing of numerous complaints by US Hispanics, other immigrants, and other calling card users regarding the company’s calling cards allegedly providing less minutes than were being advertised.
Per the settlement, the company will deliver the total number of advertised minutes and must clearly disclose all additional fees beyond the rate per minute. In addition, $75,000 worth of calling cards will be donated to The Hispanic Institute for their assisting attorney McCollum and his office with the investigation.
